Look for Aliens with the Australian Skeptics!
We may be Skeptics but we aren't cynics. Just because we ask questions when someone says they saw a "UFO" doesn't mean that we don't wonder if there is life somewhere else in the universe...

You can help SETI (Search For Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence organisation) by installing a special screensaver on your computer. This screensaver called 'SETI @ Home' is just like a normal screensaver - it starts running when you are not using your computer. However instead of doing something meaningless like showing a bouncing ball, SETI@home works to analyse radio-telescope data, searching for potential alien signals!
It's not very likely, but if we did find an alien civilisation it would be one of the biggest things in the history of the human race. Just imagine ...
It's easy, free, doesn't require you to be permanently connected to the internet. We even have a "Australian Skeptics" SETI@home team that anyone can join.

- NEWS: As of Dec 2005 SETI@Home has switched to using BOINC software, this is an improvement but means group stats have been reset.
