The three day walk will commence at Kanangra Walls and finish at Katoomba. Our route will take us past the Coal Seam Cave (an overhang) and along the narrow ridge to Cloudmaker and Cloudbreaker, over the colourfully named knolls of Rip, Rap, Roar and Rumble. We’ll also ford the Cox’s River. Whilst all of the walk is on track, there are plenty of several hundred metre ascents / descents (total ascents over the three days around 1300 metres) and the climb onto Narrow
Neck at the Katoomba end entails a short scramble up iron spikes of Tarrows Ladder. This classic Blue Mountains walk has spectacular scenery. We will need to rent a taxi van to take the party from Katoomba to Kanangra Walls, and there will also be a minimum size for the group, below which the trip will be cancelled.

The tracks in Marysville are recently re-opened following the 2009 bushfires. Take advantage of the Anzac Day public holiday to come back to this area and see the extent of reconstruction. The main walk will be E/EM from the centre of town along Tree Fern Gully track. Easy walkers have the option of stopping for a longer lunch at Steavenson Falls while the EM walkers continue to the top of the falls and perhaps further around the Keppel Lookout track as far as De La Rue lookout. The lack of tall trees now provides a fabulous view from here across Maysville to the Cathedrals. Return via the same route. If we have enough Medium walkers (including a leader) they could do the entire 13km Keppel lookout track. All meet up again for afternoon tea. Meet 7.45 am at Victoria Park for an 8am sharp start as it is a fairly long drive.
